‘Dilla & Soup

How good is cheese? I mean, seriously, how good is this ooey, gooey, salty stuff? Pretty darn fantastic.

What’s your favorite kind of cheese?

My favorite kind of cheese varies with my craving of the day, but typically I’d have to go with brie or cheddar (sharp!).

Brie Cheeeeeese

Today I enjoyed a cheesy ‘dilla (aka quesadilla) break-room style (aka microwaved) featuring sharp cheddar cheese melted in a folded-over whole wheat pita.

'Dilla, 'Dilla

This is one of my go-to snacks, but I enjoyed it for lunch today with a hot mug of Progresso French onion soup in the free mug I received from the company on Tuesday.

French Onion Soup

I figured today was a good day to break into one of the bazillion cans of soup I received from Progresso, and thought French onion would be a great place to start since it’s one of my favorites.

I was really impressed by the amount of onions in the soup! It was really tasty and full o’ the yummy veggie. I only wish the sodium content was lower (690 mg per serving… eek).

Thursday's Lunch

Sorry about the dark pictures… the sun was shining and I couldn’t get the lighting to work with me!

Also, as a side note, my lunch pictures (and likely many of my breakfast pictures) will be taken with my old point-and-shoot camera, not the new fancy, schmancy DSL camera since I don’t want to look like some kind of a tourist at work. πŸ™‚

  1. Funny comment about being a “tourist”. lol
I’m right there w/you on the cheese comment. All kinds! I love brie, feta, goat, blue and then just good ol’ chedder or mozzerella. yummmm. Anything goes!

  2. I’ll have to try the french onion soup, that’s one I have yet to buy!

  3. I haven’t ever tried brie—crazy huh? Im pretty conservative when it comes to cheese. I need to branch out a bit!

  4. I think that my favorite cheese is brie or goat cheese. Over the holiday I made a Brie en Croute (Brie baked in puff pastry with some apricot preserves inside). It is pretty much heaven!!

  5. I love brie baked in a pastry crust with some fig jam on the side…heavenly!

  6. Your quesadilla looks tasty! Personally, I would add some Romaine lettuce to bulk it up and make is crunchy! πŸ˜‰

I really like Kraft 2% sharp cheddar cheese singles (classy, I know) and I looove Laughing Cow light swiss cheese wedges (I can eat them by themselves!). I eat cheese at least twice a day!

  7. P.S. I completely forgot…I am also a huge fan of grated Parmesan cheese!!

Your new camera looks amazing by the way!

  8. Smoked gruyere is my favorite cheese!! I still haven’t tried brie!

  9. LOL “some kind of tourist at work’ that made me LOL…I totally understand! the dilla looks so great and cheeeeesey! I love the mexican blened shredded from sargento on my ‘dillas I also love munster and FRESH mozz!!

  10. That cheese looks so good! I had a great blend from Cowgirl Creamery last night… don’t know what it’s called, but it was amazing!

  11. Can you believe I have had a quesdilla for lunch the last 3 days? Also, one of my go to meals. Then I top it with my “snob salsa” (featured on my blog last week) – it can’t be beat!

  12. That would be funny to have that camera at work. Do people ever notice you taking pictures of your food and wonder about it? I just thought of that. LOL

And my fave cheese is blue cheese. Mmmm!!! I HATE that you can’t have it when pregnant. I have to give up many of my favorite things when I’m preggo and it bums me out. Not there again yet, but maybe soon πŸ™‚

  13. Brie is my favorite too!! It’s such a splurge though 😦

I also LOVE goat cheese which is not splurgy at all! It’s so light and creamy and spreads like a charm. And the subtle flavor goes perfectly on crackers. Whole wheat of course πŸ™‚
