Cheerios! Oh, oh, oh!

Does anyone else remember that old Cheerios jingle? “The one and only Cheerios oh oh oh!” I’ve had it in my head ever since I bit into the first crunchy o in my breakfast this morning.

Tuesday's Breakfast

Yesterday when Ryan and I got home from the grocery store and were unpacking our green bags (love those things!), we randomly had a big box of Cheerios in one of the bags that neither of us remember placing on the conveyor belt. Free Cheerios – not a bad deal!

Naturally I had to incorporate the crunchy lil’ guys into my breakfast. I combined a cup of Cheerios with a cup of thick Greek yogurt and some thawed raspberries from my freezer.

I served my cereal-yogurt-fruit combo with a hot cup of Bigelow eggnogg’n tea.

Eggnogg'n Tea

I saw the tea at the grocery store yesterday and couldn’t resist picking it up! The tea smelled heavenly. It was good, but I think it would have tasted even better with milk, a little sweetener and some whipped cream. πŸ˜‰

What’s your favorite holiday beverage?

Breakfast was tasty!

Favorite holiday beverage = hot chocolate.

  2. I love hot chocolate, and I like egg nog, but just after a sip of it. Do you like apple cinnamon cheerios? They were the best!

    • i love annnny kind of cheerios! apple cinnamon are amazing. i think my favorite is either honey nut or the multigrain flavor. so tasty!

  3. I love seasonal teas, the apple cider spice is one of my favorites. But a hot cup of peppermint tea with some hot chocolate mix? Oh so good.

  4. Apple cider for the win!

  5. I love hot apple cider! And have you ever tried “mulled wine?” It’s like spiced wine that’s heated up….sooooo delicious.

However, I am NOT a big fan of eggnog…it kind of gives me the heebie jeebies πŸ˜‰

  6. I have that tea at home and can’t wait to try it!

  7. I bought that Eggnog’n tea a while ago and hated it. I didn’t think about adding milk, whipped cream or sweetener. It smelled yummy but the taste, yuck.
I love egg nog, hot apple cider, mulled wine, peppermint mocha.

    • yeah i think it definitely needs a little something extra. i think i just expect something creamy when i hear “eggnog” so i think adding milk/ whipped cream would really help out the flavor.

  8. Which kind of greek yogurt?
I LOVE EGG NOG – actually Love all things seasonal, I am just a sucker…

My all time favorite seasonal thing is eithe Pumpkin spice lattes or 1/2 FF egg nog, 1/2 skim milk warmed up, add captiains. Yes. Dangerous!!

    • this was just plain greek yogurt… but i bet it would’ve been great with honey greek yogurt! that’s my favorite kind! so yummy! that drink does sound awfully delicious!
