I’ll never forget the first time I told my sister I was taking a spinning class. She looked at me like I was off my rocker and asked why anyone would want to just spin around and around… in her defense, that was before spinning became so popular. 🙂
My love with spinning is a rocky affair. I get obsessed with it for a few months and then I don’t take a class again for several months. Currently I’m lovin’ those bikes that go nowhere! This morning I did a 10 minute warm up on the elliptical before taking a 6 a.m. spinning class with my favorite spin teacher. She has such a positive attitude and is very knowledgeable about heart rate and getting the most out of your work out. Plus she incorporates a lot of sprints which are my fav! It was a great, sweaty kickoff to a Thursday.
In keeping with the spinning theme, I spun together today’s breakfast (okay, so I blended it). I whipped up a thick, blueberry-infused cottage cheese protein bowl.

Pre-Blended Blueberry Bowl
In this blueberry bowl I included 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 scoop cake batter protein powder, 70g frozen blueberries and a splash of Almond Breeze almond milk. I blended it together in my Bella Cucina rocket blender, which I call my knock-off Magic Bullet to create a thick blueberry goodness.

I topped it was Pumpkorn Honey ‘n’ Flax pumpkin seeds for added crunch.

It was awfully tasty and filling enough to get me to my mid-morning snack time.
In other news, I stopped by Barnes & Noble last night to pick up this lil’ baby:

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
I am a HUGE Dan Brown fan an have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book. My mom already started on it and said it’s a good read so far. Yippee!
